Deadfall (Book 2)

DEADFALL-3D.png

Inspector Jack Drummond faces an internal police investigation after a murder suspect he'd been questioning commits suicide in a police cell. The death hadn't been his fault but the top brass clearly had it in for him. He sees his posting from Glasgow to Inverness as his punishment.
At a low ebb and still smarting from the injustice of it all, Drummond meets and moves in with Saffron, the glamorous daughter of wealthy Inverness land owner, Marcus Dunbar.
When Saffron inexplicably vanishes, leaving a trail of evidence pointing to Drummond having been involved in her disappearance, he begins to suspect a set up.
As things start to escalate out of his control and he faces an abduction charge, only his new sidekick, DS Nick Rougvie, is prepared to stand by him.
But will his support alone be enough for Drummond to prove his innocence?
With increasing concern over the continued silence from Saffron and the pressure her well connected father is heaping on the police, new evidence emerges. Drummond's abduction charge escalates to murder.
Deadfall is the second book in Rena George's exciting new crime thriller series featuring surprising plot twists, compelling characters and a flawed cop who like to dish out justice with his fists.

Entrapment (Book 3)

ENTRAPMENT-3D.png

Detective inspector Jack Drummond has returned to work in Inverness after a Not Proven verdict saved him from being convicted of murdering his missing girlfriend, Saffron Dunbar. Her wealthy family, and many of Drummond's police colleagues, still believe he is guilty. He has to find his ex-girlfriend if he is to prove his innocence once and for all.
On his first day back on duty a woman's body is found at a place of spiritual healing. Drummond's senior officer, DCI Gavin Fraser, insists he stays away from the enquiry, but Drummond has an odd feeling about it.
Defying his boss's instructions he goes to the crime scene. Gazing down on the body, his heart lurches at the sight of the long, flame coloured hair. The woman looks just like Saffron. Why is she here, and less than a mile from Eastermains, Saffron's family home?
Was someone playing games with his head, leading him to those inevitable interviews with Saffron's parents, farmer Murdo Dunbar and his wife, Rosemary?
Despite Gavin Fraser's instructions to stay away from the investigation he knows this is one murder he cannot ignore.
Either he is being set up again for a crime he didn't commit, or he's being given the chance to prove his innocence.
But he can't do it alone. He needs the wise counsel of his friend, DS Nick Rougvie. They will investigate this one together.
As the murder hunt switches to the Highlands and Drummond links up with DS Nick Rougvie, the truth begins to emerge.
Will they be in time to prevent another killing? Or is it already too late?

Witchling (Book 4)

DI Jack Drummond stared at the horned figure hanging above the altar and shuddered. The man was dead, surrounded by the mumbo jumbo of devil worship. It had all the trappings of a ritual killing.

Sienna Wilde’s son, Pagan, is the murder victim, and her daughter Raven is missing.

So why are the authorities trying to shut down Drummond’s investigation just when he and his detectives, Nick Rougvie and Kes Crombie, are beginning to untangle the knots?

Are they intervening to protect Sienna’a partner, self-proclaimed Highland Seer, Elias Finlay? The couple are High Priest and Priestess of their coven and claim to have powers to control those around them. But do they? Could they be connected to the killings? Or is somebody deliberately staging the murder scenes to guide detectives away from the truth?
